But the Japanese version used gender neutral pronouns and many other languages did to, even the Manga didn’t gender his type. She/her pronouns were purposely used by the translators, even though it’s not really clear why.

It isn't confirmed by the author that he is pan but with the fact that Todo said "It's okay if it's a guy" (which he only did with Megumi, not with Yuji who he later in the series asks for his type) and Megumi not giving a gender specific answer, it's heavily hinted at.ĭue to the fact that his type was gendered in the English sub, a lot of people don’t know that Megumi is pansexual. In the anime, he refers to his type with she/her, but in the manga and dub, he says that at long as a person in themselves is morally good, he doesn't care about anything else.
After this Megumi simply says that he doesn't have a specific type and avoids using gendered pronouns. Before Megumi can answer Todo opens up the question when he says that it's fine if he also likes men. Megumi is asked about what his type is in women is by Todo. He is also quite a secretive person that doesn't like to talk about his past, as shown when Nobara complains that Megumi hardly tells them anything about himself. On the contrary, he is quite callous when discussing the deaths of criminals and killers as he believes they are not worth saving.
This belief that good people deserve saving motivated him to save Yuji Itadori from immediate execution and refused to regret the choice even as Sukuna was about to kill him. Claiming it to be his selfish and irrational desire, he does not see himself as a hero for doing this. He believes that the world is unfair and that a sorcerer is a tool to ensure kind people are given more chances to live. While outwardly stoic and calculating, Megumi wishes to help protect people he sees as good or kind. He wears the standard Jujutsu Tech uniform which consists of a long-sleeved over-shirt with a high collar (featuring a golden button with a swirl that all Jujutsu Tech uniforms have), matching trousers and ankle high brown boots. Megumi is a tall, dark-haired boy with light green eyes (depicted as dark blue in the anime adaption), and spiky hair.
